A Journey of Growth with Bangkit Academy 2024
Bangkit Academy 2024 became a defining phase in my academic and professional journey. Through an industry-aligned curriculum and a highly disciplined learning environment, I developed strong foundations in machine learning, professionalism, and collaboration. This experience transformed how I learn, think, and build solutions with real-world impact.
Starting The Journey And Learning To Adapt
Bangkit Academy was my first experience joining an Independent Study program under Kampus Merdeka (MSIB). I chose Bangkit because it aligned closely with industry needs and my growing interest in Machine Learning.
The early phase required fast adaptation to a self-paced learning system through Coursera and Dicoding. Managing deadlines, studying intensive courses, and learning independently taught me discipline and responsibility, skills that became essential throughout the program.
Strengthening Foundations Through Consistent Learning
As the program progressed, I focused on building strong technical fundamentals in data analysis, Python, statistics, linear algebra, and core machine learning algorithms, guided by courses from DeepLearning.AI and Google.
Weekly Instructor Led Training (ILT) sessions complemented the technical journey by sharpening soft skills such as growth mindset, time management, adaptability, and critical thinking. This balance helped me stay consistent under pressure and learn with intention.
Growing Through Collaboration And Shared Accountability
Learning at Bangkit was never a solo process. Through Weekly Consultation sessions with my cohort and mentor, I learned how to communicate clearly, share challenges, and support one another.
These interactions strengthened my collaboration skills and taught me the importance of responsibility, both to myself and to the team, while maintaining positive energy in an intensive environment.
Turning Knowledge Into Impact
The journey came to a head in the Wishata Capstone Project, a cross-track collaboration between Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Mobile Development mentees. Our solution focused on personalized and sustainable tourism, aligned with SDGs Goal 8.
As a Machine Learning contributor, I applied TensorFlow, data pipelines, and model deployment concepts to transform theory into a real product. I also led the design, scheduling, deliverables, and final product presentation processes. This phase strengthened my technical confidence, project ownership, and professional communication.
Outcomes And Personal Reflection
This journey reshaped how I approach learning and problem-solving. Beyond completing courses and certifications, Bangkit Academy trained me to stay consistent under pressure, manage complex workloads, and take full responsibility of my growth.
Technically, I strengthened my foundation in machine learning, data analysis, and TensorFlow, while learning how to translate theory into deployable solutions through the capstone project. Professionally, I developed stronger skills in time management, communication, and structured thinking, which now guide how I work in teams and handle long-term projects.
More importantly, Bangkit taught me that sustainable growth is built through discipline, reflection, and collaboration. I learned to trust the process, focusing on effort and continuous improvement, believing that meaningful results follow those who remain committed.
